Dapper

Here's Tyler, on the bridge, from Federation Square

It's been awhile since I've written anything on this space. All I have on my mind is work and more work. I'm well absorbed into getting things done that I tend to forget the most ordinary things that are part of my routine or things to do. But it's normal when you're getting steam off your back isn't it?

So recently, I went back to Melbourne as part of Marcella, to be an assistant (I would like to think minion actually hahah) at the pop-up store. It's our debut down under, and a great coincidence that I managed to grab a grand opportunity like that to experience Melbourne differently.

Anyway, the point of this post was because I've finally done something new after a long while - a mens' photo shoot (first official one and a dapper one at that hahah). It's tiring getting all the research and everything together, but so worth it when you see the end results. I've never had to tell people or direct them on what to do, let alone put a whole shoot together so it was a rather intimidating experience. But there were tonnes of great learning points, and I really have to thank my friends who lent their helping hands for this to be a success.

Here are some of the amazing shots from our little photo shoot for Marcella in Melbourne:

Special thanks to Adam (left) and Tyler (right) for being such great sports!

Got swag?

Some of our behind-the-scenes shots, taken by Kevin, our photographer as pictured and also, the man who hired me, Chang Wen hahah.

For those of you who are interested in doing some collaborative work on film or video with the man behind the main photos you see here, check out Kevin and his site here. He specializes in street photography and is definitely open to options so please, bombs away!

I can't thank everyone enough again for helping me make the shoot happen, as well as those who came by to grab shirts. Thank you! Not forgetting Nigel Tan, aka the man who volunteered to be my assistant for the day... In fact, all the time, and for being ever so supportive to make Melbourne a smooth one for me (:

This matters so much to me, because I've worked my ass off, and it finally came together. Being back in the right place and with the right company made it worth the mile. I guess I'm just really glad all these things fell in place.

In any case, I'm excited to start on new projects. Hopefully, I'll be able to make time and resume some of my old work (lots of overdue ideas)... Things are starting to slow down a little, which is great because it's always important to take a breather and appreciate the people and things around you. I really don't want to lose track of what I have to do as I give bits of myself to my environment that I can never have back. I guess the key is to finding the right balance.

But in other news, everything shall, and is going to be,
nothing, but amazing.

Good day x
